Vilnius hosted Ajarian days3 June 2016
Ajarian days were held in the capital of Lithuania. The flash mob of Georgian dances was held in the central streets of Vilnius within the two-day campaign organized by the Department of Tourism where the Georgian and Lithuanian children performed the Georgian dances. On the second day of campaign the concert was held at the most populous place of Vilnius where the musical ensemble “Peritsvaleba” and the choreographic ensemble “Mtsvervali” got the spectators aware of Georgian folklore. Georgian singer Shorena Janiashvili who is very popular in Lithuania too performed some songs at the concert. The masterclass of Ajarian Kachapuri was also held for teh Lithuanians.
Ajarian days held in Lithuania was distinguished from the ones held in other target countries. The popularizaton of Georgian dances, songs and cuisine was taking place in the open air. The Ajarian days were also held in Astana, Tel Aviv, Minsk and Warsaw. The campaign was held by the Department of Tourism and supported by the Ministry of Education of Ajara.
