Service quality research is going on in Adjara

The service quality research is going on at housing and catering facilities in Adjara. To establish the service quality level, the Adjara Tourism Department is going to explore 200 tourism objects at all municipalities of the region, including 120 housing and 80 eating facilities.

The goal of the research is to identify disadvantages in the sphere of service, to analyze them and work out specific training program for those working in this field.

The staff work at the housing and catering facilities is checked according to the quality standards. The following aspects of service are being examined: receiving reservations, accommodation of guests, cleanliness, the ability of the personnel to find an effective and optimal solution to difficult situations.

“It is important for us to know the level of service in the region, the challenges and faults of the sector. By the year 2019, we are planning to develop the most effective training programs focused on the service level improvement. A customer satisfaction is paramount for us and it mainly depends on the tourism objects, where different services are provided. The objects involved in the project will individually get the results of the research made in their facility that will help the management of the restaurants and hotels to effectively formulate their action plan”, - stated the chairman of the Adjara Tourism Department, Sulkhan Ghlonti.

The service quality research was started by the Adjara Tourism Department in July and will continue until the end of September. The general tendencies of the research results will be introduced to the public at the end of the year.
