The Advertising of Ajara tourism potential took place at Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair – “AITF-2018”. The Ajara Tourism Department participated in the exhibition together with the Georgian National Tourism Administration and tourist agencies. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and a vice-president- first lady Mehriban Aliyeva viewed Georgia’s display stand. The event was also attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili. 230 companies from 20 countries took part in the exhibition. There were more than 4 000 representatives of the tourism industry.

This year, Ajara Tourism Department has introduced the renewed advertising materials at the international exhibitions, that is a good way to provide visitors and potential tourists with the detailed information concerning the sea and mountain tourism products. In 2018, the department will introduce our region at 25 international tourism fairs.
