Major Jewish magazines, newspapers and websites have published promotional articles about Batumi and Ajara in the frames of a press trip organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara A.R. in November 2014. So far, 4 articles have been published. However, few more publications are scheduled for the publication in the nearest future.

It is worth noting that articles have been published in the following leading media: women weekly magazine “LaIsha” (up to 1 million readers), daily newspaper “Israel Hayom” (about 500 000 readers).  As for internet publications they are distinguished by unparalleled number of unique users: www.walla.co.il ( 2 300 00 unique users) and www.ynet.co.il (2 00 000 unique users).

Israel is one of the most important target countries for our region. The department annually carries out advertising campaigns in Israel, takes part in Tel Aviv international tourism fair, hosts major Jewish tour operators and journalists. What’s more, direct charter flights are operated from Tel Aviv to Batumi during season. As a result, the number of Jewish tourists in our region is steadily going up.
