Latvian Journalists prepare articles and reports about tourism potential in Adjara. They are visiting the region at the invitation of the Adjara Tourism Department. The Journalists have already seen the city’s basic tourist attractions, Batumi Botanical Garden, Gonio-Apsaros Fortress-museum and mountainous Adjara. They also got acquainted with the local folklore, cuisine and attended the dolphin show at Batumi Dolphinarium.

Latvia is one of the most interesting tourism markets for Adjara, where the popularization of the region has already been carried out for two years. Advertising activities generally include outdoor and online advertising, press-info tours for journalists and tourist agencies. The number of international tourist arrivals from Latvia to Adjara is also growing. According to the 7 months’ data, it increased by 24%.

In 2018, the Adjara Tourism Department has been carrying out the popularization of the region’s tourism products in 16 target countries that involves TV commercials, outdoor and online advertising, press and informational tours and participation in international fairs.
