French and German journalists are visiting Adjara at the invitation of the Adjara Tourism Department. The main goal of the media tour is demonstrating of Georgian cuisine. The journalists are getting acquainted with Georgian cuisine recipes. They have also visited Batumi’s basic tourist attractions: the Botanical Garden and mountainous Adjara with its wine cellars and tourism products. The journalists are going to prepare articles about Georgian cuisine and tourism products of the region for French and German media publications.

In the current year, the Adjara Tourism Department introduced the region’s tourism products to about 200 journalists and travel agents. As a result, a dozen articles, reports and programs regarding Adjara tourism potential were presented by the online Medias and televisions of the target countries.  Before the end of September, the camera crews of the international TV companies - “Euronews” and “Deutsche Welle” will re-visit our region. The Euronews Journalists will report on World Chess Olympiad in Batumi and as for “Deutsche Welle”, it will popularize the basic tourist attractions of the city.
