Khulo State Drama Theatre is located in Khulo municipality and is distinguished by its long-lasting traditions. The first amateur performances in Khulo took place in 1925. They were led by the famous Georgian film director, Siko Dolidze. Dolidze’s work with the theatre laid the foundations for a successful drama community in Khulo, which eventually became a hub for theater aficionados. In 1958, the People’s Theatre was opened in Khulo. The theatre was renamed the Khulo State Drama Theatre in 1992.
