Ajara to be a host of rural tourism festival “Gandagana”6 October 2017
On October 6-7th rural tourism festival “Gandagana” will be held at the Europe square in Batumi. Ajarian village with its traditions, rural products and local cuisine will be represented at the specially decorated European square, giving opportunity to travel in Ajarian villages without leaving the city.
All municipalities of the region will be represented in the open air at the festival, with agricultural products, souvenirs and handicrafts typical for them, letting tourists and travel agencies imagine what they can see while travelling in mountainous Ajara. The corners of rural tourism, eco tourism and wine tourism will be presented at the festival. Exhibition and selling of products produced in Ajara and presentation-degustation of unknown Ajarian dishes will take place there. A culinary master classes, joyful contests and competitions will also be held within the festival. Guests of the event will be entertained by local folklore groups and popular musical bands.
