The Ajara Tourism Department presented the tourism potential of the region at the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair “KITF 2018”.  The department participated in the exhibition together with the Georgian National Tourism Administration and tourist agencies. 

The International Tourism Fair has been held in Kazakhstan since 2000. Tourist companies and organizations from 63 countries take part in this event. The Ajara Tourism Department has presented Ajara at 14 international tourism exhibitions since January, including Vilnius, Berlin, Madrid, Tallinn, Tel-Aviv, Helsinki, Istanbul and Peking tourism fairs. 

“Participation in such exhibitions gives us an opportunity to directly inform our potential tourists about Ajara tourism resources and, at the same time, to have business meetings with tourist and advertising companies from different countries. All important organizations or companies in the world take part in such exhibitions, which is a very good chance to make business relationships and partnerships. In the current year, we are planning to introduce our region at 25 international tourism fairs, which alongside with the active marketing campaigns in 16 target countries will ultimately provide benefit and increase the number of travelers”, stated Nino Khakhubia, the Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Service of the Ajara Tourism Department.
