Adjara is presenting its tourism potential at the top world tourism exhibition - „ITB BERLIN 2019“. The event is being attended by the Adjara Tourism Department, the Georgian National Tourism Administration and the representatives of tourist companies. The chairman of the Tourism Department –Sulkhan Ghlonti and the head of the National Tourism Administration, Mariam Kvrivishvili hosted the Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, the mayor of Berlin and Germany’s Deputy Minister of Economy beside the Georgian stand.
10 thousand companies from 186 countries are introduced at one of the largest exhibitions in tourism industry. The number of the guests comprises 170 thousand people.
“Taking part in such a large-scale tourism fair is of great importance for our country’s popularization. All significant objects of tourism business are presented at this exhibition today, which is, of course, the best opportunity for building a business partnership. Germany is a new tourist market for our country, where we have been carrying out advertising campaigns for two years. We use such media platforms as Deutsche Welle, RTL and N-TV. In the framework of the exhibition, we hold many important meetings with the representatives of tourist, advertising and media companies, with the result that the number of German tourists in Adjara will increase “, stated the head of Adjara Tourism Department, Sulkhan Ghlonti.
