Ukrainian visitors focused on Ajara

Ukrainian visitors focused their attention on the tourism resources of Ajara. Ajara Tourism department will present the region’s tourism products at the Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Fair. Our Tourism Department participates in the exhibition together with the Georgian National Tourism Administration and tourist agencies. More than 300 tourist companies and organizations from 30 countries take part in the Kiev International Tourism Fair. By the display stands of Georgia, guests can get a thorough information on Georgia and its regions, try Georgian wine, churchkhela and cheese. In the framework of the exhibition, the Ajara Tourism Department representatives held several meetings with tourist and advertising companies. The Ukraine represents one of the active tourism markets for Georgia and the number of Ukrainian visitors continues to grow every year. The exhibition has opened on the 27th of March and will finish on March 30.

The Kiev Tourism Fair is an important event for Ajara. Our tourism products are very popular in the Ukraine. The activities planned by our tourism department help to maintain the positive dynamics. We hold business meetings with tourist and advertising companies to stimulate greater interest towards our country. Last year we had 193, 127  Ukrainian visitors, that is 10,4 % more, compared to the statistics of 2016. This year, we are going to improve these indicators”, said the head of the International Tourism Promotion Office, Mikheil Koplatadze.
