The Georgian government continues the process of gradual return of Georgian citizens abroad. Currently, 177 people have returned to their homeland on a special Barcelona-Batumi flight.
After undergoing a medical examination at Batumi International Airport, the passengers were taken to the quarantine spaces of the “Oasis”, “Velmond” and “Colosseum” hotels, organized by the Adjara Tourism Department. There they will undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine.
The Adjara Tourism Department together with the National Tourism Administration will ensure the organization, management and financial support of quarantine spaces in Adjara. Currently, 1570 people are going through a mandatory quarantine there.
Within the framework of preventive measures, organized by National Tourism Administration, quarantine spaces in Georgia currently operate in 84 hotels. There are currently 4,982 people in quarantine.
„We continue to host our fellows in quarantine spaces, where 180 people have joined us today. Our team, together with the National Tourism Administration, the Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies, has been taking care of creating a safe, comfortable and quiet environment for people in quarantine for the second month in a row. I want to thank the managements of all the hotels that have donated hotels to the state at a discounted price or completely free of charge. I also want to staff who serve our guests for 24 hours, tirelessly and with great responsibility,” said the head of Adjara Tourism Department Tinatin Zoidze.
