The popular TV-company, Euronews, prepared an extensive report dedicated to Batumi. With the help of the “Metropolitans” program, millions of viewers got acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage, architecture, gastronomy and the modern cityscape of Batumi. 

“Batumi- from strategic port to bustling sea resort”- very interesting Euronews report dedicated to Batumi was prepared in the framework of the media tour organized by the Ajara Tourism Department. Euronews camera crew visited the region in the frames of the media tour in the active summer tourist season. During the visit they prepared one more report for their program concerning Black Sea Jazz Festival. “This year, we are actively promoting Batumi and generally the region on such popular channels as Euronews. Apart from image videos of Ajara, which have already been on the air for two months, some special programs about our city have been prepared. So, in more than 200 countries, including our target countries, people get acquainted with our tourism potential and this fact, certainly, supports our country’s and region’s publicity and contributes to the development of a positive image. Our commercial is broadcasted on BBC as well, and we are currently negotiating with other popular TV companies”- stated Sulkhan Ghlonti, the head of Ajara Tourism Department.
