The partners of MTV got interested in Adjara

The official partner of MTV, British company “Neon Angel” representatives made a visit to Adjara, at the invitation of the Adjara Tourism Department. In the framework of the visit, Gordon Edgim and Richard Coram – the former vice-president of MTV, looked over the tourist, sports and cultural infrastructures, visited “Black Sea Arena” and Batumi Stadium currently under construction. They discussed the perspectives of turning Adjara into music hub and the region’s possibilities in these regards at the meetings with Georgian National Tourism administration, “Black Sea Arena” and Ministry of Economy’s   representatives, the Chairman of Adjara Government and Minister of Finance and Economy.

““Neon Angel” company helps certain countries to establish themselves in the world music calendar and offer tourists various music projects prepared in cooperation with MTV. Establishing Adjara, namely Batumi, as a music hub is being discussed, which implies inviting world-class singers and DJs and holding various theatrical performances and musicals at the Batumi Drama Theatre. The near-term plans include the festival - “MTV Crashes Georgia”, which is among the official MTV programs. The cooperation with MTV partner - “Neon Angel” means popularization of Georgia as a “must-visit tourist destination” at the international level, which will play an important role in attracting tourists to the region and prolonging the season”, - stated the Deputy Chairman  of the Adjara Tourism Department, Kristine Dzidziguri.
