In Shekvetili, 45 km away from Batumi, the Black Sea region’s one of the largest and most distinctive concert halls- ‘Black Sea Arena’ is located. It accommodates 10,000 people.

The main segment of the structure is for performances and unites two separate buildings.The amphitheatre in the Black Sea Arena is furnished with expensive equipment and its retractable roof responds to the weather.

Black Sea Arena was opened in 2016. Ever since the largest concert hall in the entire Black Sea region has hosted a number of stars. Unforgettable concerts were held in Black Sea Arena by famous artists such as 5 Grammy award-winner and a famous American singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera, violinist Vanessa Mae, legendary bands-‘Scorpions’, ‘Aerosmith’, as well as musicians such as KetiMelua and Eric Benet. Four Grammy nominee, the composer and singer Benet performed his most popular hit songs here.

Black Sea Arena is busy with pop and folk concerts on all seasons. Here you can also see the nearby park of miniature buildings – ‘Georgia in Miniatures’ which occupies two hectares and displays over 50 architectural monuments. In the same area, one can find a visitor’s centre, a mini amphitheatre, a cafe and other equally useful facilities.
