Tourist companies from target countries continue visiting Adjara. This time, our region hosts the representatives of Estonian tourist companies.

Adjara Tourism Department continues to invite tourism agencies from target countries. This time, leading tourist companies of Azerbaijan are getting acquainted with the tourism possibilities of Adjara.
The Adjara Tourism Department promoted tourism products of our region at the Dubai International Tourism Exhibition – “ATM 2019”.
From the 4th of June to October 2, the Polish air company “Enter Air” starts charter flights to Batumi. The flights will be operated every Wednesday, by Boeing B737-800.
The representatives of the leading Belarusian tourist agencies are getting acquainted with the tourism potential of Adjara, by the invitation of the Adjara Tourism Department. They hold meetings and discuss mutual cooperation issues with Georgian colleagues.
The number of visitors in Mountainous Adjara has increased. Over the last years, the eco and tourist routes at Adjara villages were covered by 244 478 travelers, a 124% increase compared to 2017.
Ukrainian tourist agents are visiting Adjara, at the invitation of the Adjara Tourism Department. After visiting Batumi attractions and tourism infrastructure they are meeting their local colleagues to discuss mutual cooperation.
This year, charter flights from Vilnius to Batumi will be operated. The representatives of the tour operator “Teztour”, which is going to launch flights from September, together with the members of about 20 tourist companies are getting acquainted with tourism possibilities of Adjara.
The promotion of Adjara at the international tourism fairs is going on. This time, our tourism products were introduced at the Kiev and Katowice International Tourism Fairs. The Adjara Tourism Department representatives provided guests with detailed information concerning our region’s sea and mountain tourism possibilities.
The tourism festival -“Tourister” was held in Batumi. The guests of the event discussed tourism legislation and regulations, its policy, interactions between climate change and the tourism sector.
In summer, two low-cost airlines from Ukraine and Azerbaijan start operating flights to Batumi. The Ukrainian “SkyUp Airlines” and “Buta Airways” – structural subdivision of “Azerbaijan Airlines” have already got permissions for Batumi flights from the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia.
The process of setting up information stands in the museums, accommodation and catering facilities and other active tourist places is going on.
Adjara is presenting its tourism potential at the top world tourism exhibition - „ITB BERLIN 2019“. The event is being attended by the Adjara Tourism Department, the Georgian National Tourism Administration and the representatives of tourist companies.
Georgian cuisine and khachapuri once again were rated the best by customers. “af&co”-the leading American company in the restaurant and hospitality sector publishes 2019 culinary trends, naming Georgian food – Cuisine of the Year and “adjarian khachapuri”- Dish of the Year.
The Adjara Tourism Department introduced our tourism products at the International Tourism Exhibition “IMTM 2019” in Tel-Aviv.
Israel’s leading travel website – “Lametayel.co.il” named Batumi among the top 15 tourist destinations of 2018.
In the first week of October, Batumi is hosting a Rural Tourism Festival “Gandagana”, which gives the guests opportunity to discover many interesting things and travel around Mountainous Adjara without leaving the city.
